Samsung has decide to unveil its 2020 galaxy A series, out of which is the Samsung Galaxy A91. This phone is expected to launch later this month. However, rumor has been speculating about its features and some have been confirmed.

The Galaxy A91 would be an iterative upgrade over the Samsung A90 of this year. Although, the Samsung Galaxy A91 looks incredibly similar to the Galaxy S11 picture leaks going viral, the specs are quite different. The phone is said to spot similar curve edges like the S-series, but lacking in some area. It . The has a glossy finish and thin bezels, thus enabling the full view display.

Display / Camera

Galaxy A91 centered hole-punch selfie camera at the top of the display gives it a similar look to the Galaxy Note10. The phone will be coming with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display at Full HD+ resolution. The resolution will measure a 1080 x 2400 pixels resulting to 393 ppi per density. It will also feature a 20:9 ratio, thus, enabling the screen to body display view. Samsung A91 also measures 162.4 mm x 75.6 mm x 8.1 mm which give it the perfect shape to slip in the pocket or fit well on the palm.

The Samsung A91 sports a similar camera positioning like the Galaxy S11. It comes with a Triple camera setup which comprises of a 48MP main sensor with a 12MP ultra-wide (conflicting reports say its an 8MP ultra-wide) and a 5MP telephoto camera. This camera setup may feature something called “Tilt OIS”. It is also expected to sport a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.2 aperture.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy A91 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and come with 8GB of RAM. It also pack a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy A91 runs One UI based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB). The Samsung Galaxy A91 tipped to be a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy A91 are said to include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone are rumoured to include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A91 supports face unlock.

Finally, the report suggests that the Galaxy A91 could launch as the Galaxy S10 Lite in some markets, perhaps with varying specification.
