Hp has released yet again another compact convertible  all-in-one laptop into the spectre family. The HP’s Spectre X360 13 is a premium convertible laptop the latest with Intel’s 10th Gen processors. This laptop takes performance to another level, with its unique features and specs. It is a perfect  all-in-one laptop that offers fast performance, long battery life and a bright display at a reasonable price.

HP has given the 13-inch Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop a new lease on life with an attractive redesign. It packs thin and elegant, sleek design like its predecessor. To maintain its position has one of the best 2-in-1 laptop, Hp has made some big changes to its design.

HP Spectre X360 Design

This ultraportable two-in-one laptop entire case has been redesigned now featuring a beveled chamfered edges and corners. The laptop’s 30.88 x 21.79 x 1.47cm (W x D x H) dimensions and 1.33kg weight make it effortless and comfortable to carry around.

On the left-hand corner sits the power button, and the right sports an additional USB-C port. The speaker grille that runs along the top of the keyboard has an updated, slick design. It also sports the popular Bang & Olufsen speakers behind it.

On  the other side sits the fingerprint scanner right below the keyboard. This allows you to log into Windows quickly and easily by placing your finger on the sensor. The touchpad is centered below the keyboard, and it’s large enough for comfortable use.

The Spectre x360 13 has the same great keyboard as the previous model. The Spectre x360’s Chiclet-style keys are large, well-spaced and have decent travel for a laptop this thin. Its 4.4 x 2.2-inch touchpad comes with smooth glass surface and Windows Precision drivers.

HP Spectre X360 Display

The HP Spectre x360’s screen has a small bezel, thus, the full view display. The new edge-to-edge display enhances the stunning look. HP Spectre X360 comes with two touch-screen options: 1080p or 4K OLED.

The 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD IPS display is sharp, it gets bright enough to use outdoors. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT, which is essential for any 2-in-1 device to safeguard it from being damaged when in tablet mode. The 4K OLED model sports  a resolution of 3,840×2,160, thus, promising a better display than the 2080 model.

This screen panel offers a wide viewing angles which enhances better viewer’s experience even when rotate the screen. HP Spectre x360 (2019) also comes with a built-in HP Sure View technology which helps limit the viewing angles when needed. This feature can be turned on and off using the F1 button on the keyboard, and it works incredibly well, with the screen looking extremely washed out and unreadable when looked at from any angle.

Although, the hp spectre X360 2019 is a touchscreen laptop, it  also comes with the HP Active Pen stylus

HP Spectre X360 Connectivity

The Spectre x360 13’s connectivity ticks pretty much all the boxes and does not leave a lot to be desired. It features two modern Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports that carry a DisplayPort signal (DisplayPort ALT mode) and support PowerDelivery, a standard USB-A port (USB 3.0 Gen. 1), and a microSD card reader. To utilize the available space, the illuminated power button and one of the two USB-C ports are located on the left and right beveled corner of the case, respectively. A physical slider to disable the camera entirely is available as well.

HP Spectre X360 performance

HP Spectre x360 (2019) is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8565U processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. The Intel Core i7-8565U is an 8th generation processor that was launched last year, with four cores and eight threads. It comes with a base frequency of 1.80GHz that boosts up to 4.60GHz. It also comes with Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated graphics for the best gaming experience. The CPU is allowed to consume up to 25 W for a short initial burst of load resulting in clock speeds of 4 x 2.9 GHz.

It also comes with internal storage up to 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD for quick tranferring of files and general usage.

The HP Spectre x360’s battery life is a good reason to refer the laptop to one of the best. It manages an impressively long time between charges.

Security and privacy are a significant focus for HP. The Spectre still has a webcam kill switch and new this year is a dedicated function key to mute the microphone with an LED. Optional Sure View Gen3 tech keeps your screen private from onlookers. HP is tossing in free trials of Express VPN and LastPass to add to that security and privacy story.
