Lenovo is launching two brand new tablets: the Yoga Smart Tab and Smart Tab M8. The Smart Tab M8 looks like a traditional tablet, but the Yoga Smart Tab comes with an intriguing feature. The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab comes with the Google Assistant builds on the revolutionary Yoga Tab’s multimode kickstand design. It packs thin and elegant, sleek design like its predecessor.

Design

The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab comes featuring a striking body design. This 10-inch tablet has a round grip build into its body. Although the tablet might  look similar to Yoga Tab 3, it is quite spectacular with the ability to be hung on a wall, which intrigues me to say the least.

This sturdy metal body device flaunts Lenovo’s signature pop-out kickstand, which allows the tablet to stand upright by itself or at an angle for typing. The back of the tablet sports a lovely matte gray finish, while the hinge sports a cylinder shape so you can stand it up. It also spots curvy edges which allows for a comfortable grip.

The kickstand also house the two separate stereo speakers that sit on the left and right sides. The powerful speaker array rocks a dual JBL hi-fi speakers with Dolby Atmos support. This speaker delivers more compelling audio than most tablets.

At 1.28 pounds and 9.5 x 6.5 x 0.3~0.9 inches, the Yoga Smart Tab is obviously a lot bigger than the Smart Tab M8, which comes in at 0.67 pounds and 7.8 x 4.8 x 0.3 inches.

As far as ports go, the Yoga Smart Tab has one USB Type-C port, a microSD card slot, a headphone jack and a SIM card slot, while the Smart Tab M8 has a microUSB port, a headphone jack and a SIM card slot.

Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab spots a crisp and vibrant visuals from any angle with the 10.1” FHD IPS display. The display screen also comes with an aspect ratio of 16:10. It has a full HD resolution with 1920 x 1200 pixels resulting to 224 ppi density and IPS display technology.

The smart Tab has 320 nits of brightness with only 70% of the sRGB color gamut. Although the colour gamut is low, the device still provides one of the best viewing experience. Yoga Smart Tab also comes with a 73.6% screen-to-body ratio .

Performance

The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 based on 12 nm process technology. It has an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.0 GHz with Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. The processor is supported by a 4GB of memory (RAM) and a 64GB storage on the high-end and a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage at the other end,

Under the hood the Yoga Smart Tab runs Android 9 Pie. Above all, the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab functions like many other smart displays on the market that are powered by Google Assistant, including the Lenovo Smart Display.
