Huawei has launched a new successor to the Honor View series. The Honor V30 is the upgrade of the last year Honor V20. Compared to Honor V20, Huawei this year will introduce two models – Honor V30 and V30 Pro.
Display / Design
The Honor V30 to come with LCD display with single hole punch design to house dual selfie camera. This punch hole technology is one of the latest innovations in tech world. Honor claims that by “using a special design, it maintains the structure of the display while allowing the front camera to function properly,” it’s also emphasizing that “the hole is not a traditional hole.”
This edge-to-edge screen device spots a metal frame and metal frame finishing body. It features a 6.57″ IPS LCD FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution resulting to 400ppi per density. Overall, the V30 offers really nice in-hand feel and a premium captivating design.
Camera
Honor V30 comes with a quad-rear camera that can offer amazing photography in every field. It also feature a SuperSensing AI Triple Camera setup coupled with the flashlight to complement the camera. This consist of 60MP main + 16MP ultra wide-angle + 2MP Macro + ToF camera.
The front camera comes with a 25MP lens, which is amazing to capture selfie pictures. Overall, this smartphone is a suitable option for selfie photo lovers. The Quad Bayer array uses a process called pixel binning to combine the light data from four adjacent pixels in low light situations, allowing the Honor V30 to create brighter images with less noise.

Under the hood, Honor V30 is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 Octa-core processor that comprises of a 2.86GHz dual-core Cortex A76, a 2.09GHz dual-core Cortex A76 and a 1.86GHz quad-core Cortex A55. It is supported by Mali-G76 MP16 GPU which offer good graphical performance while the 6GB RAM provides great gaming and multitasking effects. The smartphone has 128GB non-expandable storage.
Battery
Honor V30 is equipped with a Non-removable Li-Po 4200mAh battery with 40W fast charging capacity. It also runs on Android 10.0 + Magic UI 3 user interface. The phone’s sensors include Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. it is available in colors like Ocean Blue, Galaxy Black, Icelandic frost, and Sunrise Orange.
For the connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE networks, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Glonass, USB Type-C, etc.
