After a strong battle won and a certainty of future for the Huawei phones, the company launched yet again a captivating device” Huawei Mate 30 series. The Mate 30 lineup includes three flagship devices – the Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and the Porsche Design Mate 30 RS.

Design
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro sports a premium design. It robust sleek uni-body design with a glossy finish around the edge to edge curved body. The screen curves stylishly around the sides of the handset, giving the phone a unique look that reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Huawei is calling the new waterfall-inspired design the Huawei Horizon Display.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro’s front and rear are Gorilla Glass 6 coated which Huawei claimed is fingerprint resistance. To replace the removed side keys Huawei has implemented a new gesture system for adjusting the volume. On the display front, the Mate 30 Pro has a 6.53-inchAMOLED panel with extremely curved edges at 88-degrees. It comes with a 1176 x 2400 pixels, resulting to 409PPI per density and features a screen wideness up to 18.549 aspect ratio, couple with the supports DCI-P3 HDR standard. The display also supports Huawei’s M-Pen with 4,096 levels of pressure, but that’s sold separately. There’s also a new generation blue light filter that’s 25% more efficient than its predecessor “Mate 20 Pro.”
The mate 30 pro also comes with 94.5% screen-to-body ratio and a display color up to 16 million which gives the device a colorful and bright. It also comes with an under display, optical fingerprint sensor to make accessing your phone super simple and super secure. The phone is IP68-rated for waterproofing and dust-resistance.
Cameras
In terms of photography and video, Huawei Mate 30 Pro had a market-leading quad camera. Richard Yu described the new camera setup as an “exquisite halo ring”. The circular camera module is one of the main selling point of the device, consisting of rear camera featuring a total of four modules, including a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor for 3D improved depth-sensing in bokeh mode.

The third sensor comes featuring 40MP ultrawide camera with f/1.8, 18mm, 1/1.54″, PDAF and lastly, on the fouth sensor is 3D TOF camera for bokeh effects.
Inside the screen notch sits the front camera which sports a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera sensor, alongside a 3D TOF snapper for the perfect selfie picture.
In terms of video, the phone can shoot 60fps 4K as well as ultra slow-motion at a mind-blowing 7680 fps (256x).
Processor
Under the hood, Huawei Mate 30 Pro is powered by Kirin 990, the new platform from Huawei’s HiSilicon division. The Kirin 990 retains an octa-core CPU at its heart and uses the latest Cortex-A76 ARM design and Mali G76 graphics processor in addition to some impressive AI smarts. Like the Kirin 980, it’s based on the latest-gen 7nm production process.
This is Huawei’s first phone platform with 5G baked into the platform – although our review device isn’t a 5G model.

Operating System

The mate 30 Pro comes with two different storage variant. It supports 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage as well as a 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM.
