Hp recently revealed its all-new two-in-one HP Elite Dragonfly Laptop. The Elite Dragonfly is a successor for the EliteBook 1030 G4.

According to the company this is the best laptop for business professionals who travel frequently for work. This laptop takes performance to another level, with its unique features and specs.

HP Elite Dragonfly Laptop is a near-perfect ultra-slim laptop that offers fast performance, long battery life and a bright display at a reasonable price.

DESIGN

HP Elite Dragonfly provides mobility beyond expectation in an exquisitely crafted x360 touch laptop. This lightweight laptop is HP attempt at capturing the business world.

HP is betting on the idea that professionals will choose the thinnest and lightest laptop for easy access.

This 2-in-1 convertible sports a 13.3-inch-screen. Being part of the Elite family, the Elite Dragonfly laptop had to adhere to certain durability and performance standards that users are accustomed to from that line. 

HP Elite Dragonfly Laptop is made of magnesium alloy chassis and the glossy HP logo positioned at the center.

The Elite Dragonfly laptop has an impressive 87% screen-to-body ratio which allows you to flip your screen into four different modes.

The company states that the device is the world’s first notebook made with ocean bound plastic material.

It comes with up to 50 percent recycled plastic material used in the keycaps, and no metal components within the keyboard array, just rubber and plastic used.

This HP laptop also comes with a glass trackpad which uses Microsoft’s Precision drivers, so it has excellent tracking for two-finger scrolling and other multifinger gestures as well as excellent palm rejection.

The Dragonfly laptop also comes with four-speaker system that is loud and clear for both conference calls and media.

Inside the top bezel rest a Windows Hello-compatible webcam for video calls and a fingerprint sensor well positioned on the board for biometric.

DISPLAY

Elite dragonfly 13.3inch display comes with three different  configuration. This includes a 1920 x 1080 touch panel. The screen reproduced 117% of the sRGB color gamut cou[led with 373 nits resulting in a pretty bright screen. 

As well as the 1080p SureView display that has HP’s integrated privacy screen and gets to 1000 nits of brightness. Finally, there is the 4K panel with the most resolution.

PERFORMANCE

However. the Dragonfly is not just about looks. It comes featuring more under the hood. It is powered by a 8th Gen Intel Core processor.

The processor is available in two models, these includes an Intel Core i5-8265U CPU model without vPro support, with 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

The higher version sports an Intel Core i7-8365U CPU with vPro support, coupled with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a 32GB Intel Optane memory module.

To power the phone is a massive two- or four-cell battery, depending on the model. According to HP the four cell battery can last up to 24 hours of battery life coupled with HP Fast Charge tech.

The fast charging technology enables the HP Elite Dragonfly to charge 50 percent of its battery in just 30 minutes.

For connectivity option, the Dragonfly sports two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, a full-size HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the right side.

On the left, there’s a USB-A port, the power button, a Kensington lock port, and a slot for a SIM card to use with the optional LTE modem.

For networking, the Dragonfly sports the option of gigabit-class 4G LTE wireless broadband connectivity. Thus, allowing workers to stay online on the go, with Wi-Fi 6 ensuring they stay connected whilst in the office.
