Samsung stated that it intentionally skipped directly to 7 in order to synchronize the naming of the series with the Galaxy S series, citing that the previous naming scheme (which put it one number behind the current Galaxy S model) was confusing to consumers. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is powered by Exynos 8890 SoC along with 4 GB RAM and includes a microSD card slot that can hold up to 256GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch display with a curved AMOLED screen at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. There’s also a 12 MP Dual Pixel camera (Sony IMX260) at the back along with a 5 MP camera on the front. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the first waterproof Galaxy Note, it’s the first phone ever with Gorilla Glass 5 and also the first Galaxy phone with a USB-C port. he Galaxy Note 7 is the first Galaxy smartphone to feature an iris scanner, which provides extra security for the user, and also includes a secure folder that is one of its main features.
