Nokia Finally Turns to Android Based Phone despite Microsoft Deal
Nokia X is the latest mobile from Nokia. Nokia follows the trends of Samsung and Motorola by unveiling its first ever Android phones Nokia X at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Mobile World Congress is an avenue where the mobile industry gathers to shout the odds and show of their waves, normally held each year in Barcelona.
Nokia released Androids of three gateways devices called X (Nokia X, Nokia XL and Nokia X+) which had been given the green light even though the Finish Company is becoming a part of Microsoft, according to report which was latterly describe as a “ perplexing strategic move”.
The latest Android smart phones from Nokia imbibe the properties of both Androids and windows. The phones are Nokia X, Nokia XL and Nokia X+. The sales of Nokia X will start immediately in Europe and part of Asia on the 25th of February at the trade show while that of Nokia XL and Nokia X+ will commence by April.
The new smart phones will definitely be powered by Android, but it will be running a modified version that does not come with the Google Play app store. Instead it runs with external app store (UI that makes the OS look a lot more like Windows Phone 8) from Microsoft and Nokia just like what Amazon does with its Kindle Fire Tablets.
This approach could provide Nokia with a replacement for its Asha phone and also enabling users with an entry-level device likely to upgrades to Windows Phone in the future. Despite the success of the affordable Nokia Lumia 520, low cost Android devices have the budget end of the market to themselves. Nokia’s CEO also confirmed that the Lumia phones will be reduced as a result.
