HMD Global just introduced its most affordable Android One smartphone the “Nokia 2.2.” This smartphone according to the company will be Nokia most affordable Android One smartphone among its new lineup in 2019.
Nokia 2.2 is an Android One certified phone that comes with the latest Android 9 Pie software experience built-in. It includes 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates, ensuring that your phone stays ahead of the curve.

Nokia 2.2 Spec Overview
Nokia 2.2 is the latest addition to the lineup of affordable Nokia smartphones after last year Nokia 2.1.
Display and Design
The new Nokia 2.2 is a 5.7 inches screen display device. It sports an IPS+ HD display which offers a screen resolution of 720x1520pixels and a aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone features a decently shaped rounded polycarbonate design with a high gloss finish, and a removable back.
Like most recent devices, the Nokia 2.2 sport a waterdrop notch on the top of the large 5.71-inch display. This notch accommodates the front camera. There’s also a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left-hand side of the phone.
On the rear, you get a 13MP single main camera to takes cool conspicuous images in portraits mode with an autofocus Led flashlight. The back camera has an artificial intelligence mode for high performance while capturing images.
On the front, there’s a 5MP camera for selfie. The camera is capable of AutoHDR and uses something called a “low-light image fusion” technology to fill light in dimly lit scenarios.
In terms of performance, the Nokia 2.2 is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC with a quad-core CPU compared to the Snapdragon 425 on the Nokia 2.1. It comes with a clocking speed of 2GHz, hence the effective performance.
Nokia 2.2 runs on Os version Android 9 Pie out of the box which is the fastest and a user-friendly Android version operating system. It helps sustain the battery capacity of the device as well as the operation.
The company assures that the Nokia 2.2 will enjoy at least three years of software updates meaning it will see Android Q and the version after that at the very minimum. Hence it will be the cheapest phone to feature Android Q.
Nokia 2.2 comes in two variants with one sporting 2GB RAM and packs 16GB of internal storage. And the higher version features a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal Storage but they can be expandable up to 64GB via micro SD card slot.
The Nokia 2.2 powerhouse is been taken care of by a huge 3000 mAh battery capacity, which the company said can last up to few hours on heavy usage or a day on light usage.
The Nokia 2.2 will come in Black and Steel colors starting June 11. HMD mentioned it will offer the new device globally for around €99/$112 but did not provide an exact launch date. Hence the Nokia 2.2 Price is not yet certain.
